Original Prints

We wear art. Every RISK print has its own author and its own story. Someone first drew it, painted it or dreamed it up especially for us, which is why you won't find our patterns anywhere else.

For RISK's 15th anniversary, we invited Paweł Swanski, a painter and designer whose murals you can see from Tokyo to Los Angeles, to work with us. Together, we created the limited collection RISK MADE IN WARSAW BY PAWEL SWANSKI STUDIO. Swanski has been painting mythical creatures for years, and in this collection the Basilisk of Warsaw meets a Japanese dragon. This dragon isn't here to scare anyone. It's here to give you energy. The scarlet and gold dragons work like a modern talisman that you put on along with your dress.

Behind most of our prints is graphic artist Paweł Palikot. He took the Rorschach test, with the most ambiguous inkblots in the history of psychoanalysis, and turned it into a print in which everyone sees something different: a kaleidoscope, butterflies or a bouquet of flowers. For our anniversary, he created a new version of it in deep shades of green. Paweł also drew "Birds of Warsaw", recreated the "Fireworks" pattern from… 1937, and hid toys and trinkets from the fairs of our childhood in the "Let's Play" prints. "Violet Brush", in turn, is the pure joy of painting: following the brush and wondering where it will take us.

We also invite artists from outside our studio. For the Art Therapy collection, Tomasz Poznysz spent over a month on an oil painting in the style of old Dutch still lifes. It features a pumpkin, cabbage, leeks and apples, but also a pocket watch and family keepsakes. We turned the painting into fabric, so today you can simply wear it. "Dahlias" grew out of the work of the Poznań florist duo KWIATY & MIUT, and Paweł Palikot added the insects no garden could survive without.

We look for inspiration close to home: in Łowicz folk costumes, in the floor tiles of old Warsaw tenement houses, in the gates of Żoliborz, in the things we walk past every day and often stop noticing.

We make everything in Poland. Because it's worth it. Just like it's worth risking being yourself.
